By: Gurudiksha Kaur Whether it is our home office or we are simply surfing the net. We won’t be able to work without a functional desk with everything at its place, nothing here and there. All organised. It helps us to be more productive. Not just that, in this age, style matters too with a functional desk. But classic remains classic. You can amp up your simple white rectangular table.
Take out all the stuff you need while at work. Place your laptop in the centre with a pen holder at the side and some sticky notes. Keep your glue, tape and stapler on the other side. By: Gurudiksha Kaur Home is where you feel happy and at peace. We all look for some quiet time after a long day. Home can be the best place to leave stress and add positive energy to your life.
1. Remove unnecessary furniture The size of your room doesn’t matter, what matters is how you use the space available to you and make your room look spacious. So instead of cramming your room with too many pieces of furniture, pick your favourites and just leave empty spaces in between. These empty spaces will act as breathing corners and give your whole room a more neat and light feel. 2. Houseplants for the win Another way to feel closer to nature inside your home is by using products that have a natural element to them like house plants. Also, invest in a natural air purifier. It helps clean the air you breathe, and in turn, helps you lead a much more healthy life 3. Don’t ignore your bathrooms Make your daily bathing ritual a great experience by placing real flowers in your bathroom. They will add a fresh feel to your bathroom and perk you up. You can also add essential oils, and their aroma will make you feel relaxed. 4. Balance all colors Every color discharges an energy that has an effect on your life. It’s important to balance colors in a room using pillows, bedsheets and other little pieces to decorate your room. 5. Play some background music Music feeds your soul. Many people start their mornings with energetic music, to feel energetic all day long. Make sure you have music playing in your home, and it will make sure your surroundings feel alive and vibrant. Pin laces, hang your rings, earrings and hairpins on it. Keep those important cut outs of magazine in an open envelope. No more searching for hours, pin it and stay organised. Its all about the edge, you know. By: Gurudiksha Kaur
1. Pick a theme A room theme will give you guidelines and parameters to work with, which is a good thing if you are a beginner at interior design. It is better not to try and pull all the ideas into one home space. A room decor according to a particular theme looks the best rather than putting in all the ideas in one room. While working on the theme, also take notice of the size. Take home’s size into consideration. 2. Spend Wisely Decide whether each room is important enough to be getting a makeover before you start spending. It is best to think about the value of the rooms in terms of how they are used. Also, don’t just buy items to fill out the space. Take time and think twice before buying each and every item. 3. Light up the room Statement lights are an easy way to create a central focus of a room. And you can get pretty amazing lights that can be used as art pieces as well. The large chandelier in the main hallway will remain a classic but it might require you to redecorate it. So, DIY it. Nothing is difficult in this age of DIYs. By: Gurudiksha Kaur
2. Show you appreciate abstract art Abstract art may sound very easy to do but it's not. But this one won't take more than 5 minutes. Its that simple. All you need is poster colors and a ruler or a blade, be very careful with the blade. I would suggest you to use a steel ruler. Pour some paint on a thick sheet of paper, now take your ruler and scrape that paint off only till the half way length of the sheet. 3. Handbags could never be so useful This one is the simplest. Take some small sized solid color paper handbags and stick on your wall with some double sided tape. That is it, so easy, so cute and so quick. You can put in your sunglasses or anything that makes you search for hours. |
